Everybody wants their sexual
relationships to blossom with love and romance.
They all want this magic with the partner, but they don’t seem to know
how to attain it. Unless your relationship
extends beyond the superficial, it cannot be special; it cannot be holy. Intimacy requires a transparency between two
people; It requires allowing someone to see the genuine love that resides
within you. Expressions of love through
our actions and words are always what fuel any romance.
Personal sin makes openness very hard to
accomplish. Exposing our evil deeds to someone else always seems to kill the
romance. Close relationships are
difficult to have when you have skeletons in your closet. People don’t fully appreciate how much of a
liability their sin can really be. How
it damages our personal relationships. A
husband may think He can look at another woman.
He may think He won’t get caught; perhaps his wife does not catch
him. Regardless, a woman will always
notice if her husband’s attention is not on her. If his heart is somewhere else, she will know
it. How does a man foster the romance
with his wife if his heart really lies somewhere else? How does lusting after another woman kindle
the fire He should have with his wife? A
Husband won’t have to find that aphrodisiac or clever gesture if he really
loves his wife from his heart. His
feelings for her will always work for him; they will always leave their pervading
scent for her to catch. He does not have
to manufacture any gestures; He does not have to fake it. Trying to feign something you don’t have will
always be discovered in time. Real love
requires a singleness of mind; a state of perfection free of any
impurities. It always requires a
character with integrity. How does a
wife expect to achieve intimacy apart from integrity? How can she emotionally connect with her
husband when only bitterness lies within her heart? How does simply putting on the charm achieve
a feeling of closeness? How does venting
only bitterness draw your husband toward you? It’s the heart that must be
reformed before relationships can blossom.
You can’t just do things for appearances sake. How can you say He really loves you, when He
cannot see the real you? How can you
love someone when your heart is somewhere else?
A person only treasures that which they first place their heart
into. If you want your relationships to
be special (to be holy), a person has to clean up their act. They
have to be transparent and their openness has to reveal a singleness of
heart. This is what purity is all
about. Purity of Heart sets the standard for making any
relationship special. You cannot hold
back. Your deeds will always prove your heart out in the end. Your love has to be the real deal. Your
relationships are only as good as the heart you put into it. Reform your heart and your relationships will
follow suit. Only God’s Spirit can wash
away sins and make a heart new. He does
this through his Word. You only have to
be willing.Related Links
