Sexual Immorality: Cannot Drag to Heaven, Be Washed to be Saved

I have written previously how sexual immorality poses many problems for people and society.   In order for Heaven to be the Utopia God promises it to be, He must forever bar sexually immoral activities from occurring there.  We are told in Scripture that nothing impure will ever enter the kingdom of God.  The only way for you to get there is to be made pure first.   You don’t get to drag your sins with you to heaven.  Many people reason to themselves how God loves them and will forgive them in spite of their behavior.   They believe God’s grace grants them license to continue their immoral behavior.  They deceive themselves when they reason like this.  The Bible promises those who continue to practice wickedness will never inherit the kingdom of heaven.   A person is only given two options.  Allow God to wash you of your sins through his Spirit and be forgiven; we call this the gospel in a nutshell.  Or keep your sins and be destroyed by the laws God enacted through Moses.  Defying the Spirit of God who would cleanse you is really the only unpardonable sin.  God can forgive anyone willing to change and repent, but forgiveness never comes to those who refuse to change.  In fact, the only ones destined for hell are demons and those people who refuse to repent.  Christians need to always remember they can only be saved from their bad deeds not in spite of them.  Fortunately, The Bible does teach a person can be washed, justified, and sanctified of their sexual immorality.  Get to know Jesus Christ, learn of his character, follow his way, and be immersed in his Spirit.  He will give you a new heart and a new Spirit.
