The Second Trumpet of Revelation: A Red tide washing up more than just Dead Sea life on the shore.

The mountain that falls into the heart of the sea

Many astronomers today are concerned with the idea of an asteroid impacting our planet. They have good reason to be. A huge collection of space rock referred to as the asteroid belt already orbit our sun between the planets of Mars and Jupiter; which means there is plenty of debris available out there that can hit us. Their elliptical orbits make their trajectories and timetables for impact very predictable. Floating space objects enter our earth’s atmosphere all the time. Usually, the meteor debris that hits our planet is small and the heat created from entering our earth’s atmosphere burns all of the mass up before hitting the ground. People witness this phenomena occurring anytime they observe a shooting star. Revelation describes what sounds to be an object the size of a mountain impacting the sea at the time of the second trumpet. The object’s size and the fact that it’s survives entry into our atmosphere to hit the sea will make the damage extensive. The casualties from the impact we are told will turn a 1/3 of the seas to blood; one third of the living creatures in the sea will die and one third of the ships will be destroyed. The tsunami that results from this impact will make the sea and the waves roar violently. This sort of red tide will wash up more than just dead sea creatures and ships on to the shore. Scripture tells us that men’s hearts will begin to fail them from fear and the expectation of what will be coming on the earth.

The Red tide will wash up more than just Dead Sea life and Ships on the shore.

I mentioned in a previous post, how the plagues that occur from the first four trumpets are the fall out aftermath of the spiritual war occurring in Heaven. They are signs that the powers of heaven are being shaken. Their fall causes the collateral damage observed in the first four trumpets. The significance of the one third value relates to the number of fallen angels who were thrown to the earth. Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea. Not just because of the collateral damage caused by the impact, but also from what will emerge from the sea afterward. Those powers that fell into the sea will be brought back from it’s depths. A resurrected beast will emerge from the sea having seven heads and ten horns. A dreadful and terrible beast that is exceedingly strong. One of the heads of the beast will appear to be mortally wounded, and his mortal wound will be healed. He will ascend out of the bottomless pit ready to make war. They are like the trouble sea which cannot rest and will cast up mire and dirt. They are filled with wrath having been cast to the earth. They will be quick to make war with all those who obey the Commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. They have been cast out of Heaven and they will want to return the favor on all those whom God loves. They know their time is short on the earth. They will devour their adversaries, breaking in pieces, and trampling the residue with it’s feet. It will be granted to them to make war with the saints and to overcome them for three and half years.

The trumpets are also a calling home of believers from the present Age.

Time of the second trumpet is really the beginning of the end. He who leads into captivity shall go into captivity; He who kills with the sword must be killed with the sword. The saints will have to patiently endure remaining faithful to Jesus. Blessed are those who die in the Lord at that point. The righteous perish and no man takes it to heart; merciful men are taken away while no one considers that the righteous are taken away from evil. He shall enter peace; they shall rest in their beds each one walking in his uprightness. They will rest from their labors and their works will follow them. Unleashing unrestrained evil on the earth will only hasten the demise of the present age. When demonic forces are allowed to remove all that is good from the earth, God will have no reason to preserve the present age anymore. The end of the present age for believers only spells the beginning of the new age to come. God alone will be a very present help in such troublesome times for his people. Christ is the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in Him though He may die, yet shall He live. The Psalmists says that with God we should not fear even though the earth be removed and the mountains be carried into the heart of the sea. Though it’s waters roar and foam, they do not have to shake us when God is our refuge. No weapon formed against you shall prosper. The heritage of the saints is that they shall ultimately condemn those who rise against them. All those who strike at God’s footstool will eventually be crushed by it.
