Immodesty, Public Nudity, Exhibition: Also exposes loose morals

Many women in our culture dress immodestly to obtain attention and affection from the opposite sex.   They see how exposed cleavage and tight revealing clothes turns a man’s head. She seeks his attention and she is willing to reveal a little to get it.  Unknowingly, she is showing off more than she anticipated.  Immodesty makes a very clear statement to all the men in the room.  A statement about the type of girl she may in fact be.
Her attire already reveals she is willing to prostitute her looks for a little attention.  Perhaps for a little extended affection, she might spread her legs.  Women may not really wish to send such a signal about themselves, but immodest attire leaves many men with this impression just the same.    This is why many men chase the immodest woman.  They are looking for a promiscuous woman to sleep with.  They think she might be easier than the average woman.  As a woman, is this how you would wish to be thought of?  As I mentioned in my post on beauty, a man’s feelings for an immodest woman are only skin deep.  They are hormones not heart.  Feigned overtures in the hopes of receiving sexual favors.  If you don’t wish to be played like this, then don’t play the game.  God tells his daughter to be modest. He commands this to make a statement about them.  The statement of how special and valued they are in his eyes.   A statement of how there is more to them than just their body.  A statement they should not be toyed with.  Even some men behave immodestly.  They indulge in exhibition for the attention.  I guess it’s some form of personal amusement to shock the innocent by stander with indecent exposure.   I do not understand the thrill.   The Bible teaches how in uncovering one’s nakedness, a person also exposes their moral shame.  God has ordained that both things be revealed at the same time.  Any semblance of dignity and respect a man has would be gone with a flash.  Getting attention because someone has regard and care for you is one thing, but getting attention for being a disgraceful spectacle is quite another.  They are not the same kind of attention.   God gave us clothes for a reason and we do well if we choose to keep them on in public settings.
